Phoebe Whitney Aguiar, 86, of Mountain View died Friday, March 9, at home. Born in Pahoa, she was a retired lab specialist for the American Red Cross. Visitation from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo; Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Graveside committal service at 9 a.m. Friday at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2. Casual attire. No flowers. Raylene “Tutu” “Kumu” Haalelea Kawaiaea, 61, of Kapaau died March 9 at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, she was a building facilitator for Queen Liliuokalani Children’s Center. She was a preserver of the Hawaiian culture. She was the founder of Na Huapala O Hawaii Halau O Haalelea Hula Halau and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Satoru Matsuzaki, 81, of Papaikou died March 9 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Papaikou, he was retired from the County of Hawaii as a truck driver for the Department of Parks and Recreation. He was a member of the Hilo Hooganji Mission, Kalaoa Kumiai, and was also a retired supervisor for the Gray Line Company in Hilo. Visitation Saturday at the Hilo Hooganji Mission from 9 a.m.-10 a.m.; Memorial service at 10 a.m. Casual attire. Willis Schlenk, 86, of Keaau died March 11 at his residence. Born in Rockford, Ill., and retired as an auditor for the U.S. Military. Private service held.
